Florida International University - Parkview Hall

Florida International University (F.I.U.) was looking to provide additional options for students to live on the University's Modesto A. Maidique Campus. FIU tasked Moss & Associates to help expand its campus residential community to provide unique opportunities for students to grow and develop in living environments that are convenient, safe and affordable. The site configuration follows a “Town Street” vision of the University’s philosophy to foster student interaction and social activity while maintaining an established quality of on-campus student life.

Providing construction management at risk services, Moss is working closely with the University and the design team to deliver Phase 1 of FIU's Parkview Housing project. The new student dormitory totaling 620 beds will include 148, 4-bedroom, 2-bath apartments with a living room and kitchen, and 26 single studio units, all with amenities including collective lounges, study rooms, laundry facilities, and outdoor gathering spaces to provide students with a ‘residential community” experience accommodating residential life programs and activities.

Phase I will be ready for student occupancy in the Fall of 2013.
