FOOD for Lane County (FFLC) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit food bank dedicated to alleviating hunger by creating access to food. We accomplish this in Lane County by soliciting, collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing, and packaging food for distribution through a 153-member network of human service agencies and programs; through public awareness, education and community advocacy. FFLC is a United Way of Lane County agency, member of the Oregon Food Band Network, and a distribution partner of Feeding America, the nation's food bank. We serve the emergency food needs for a population base of 356,000 people living in the 4,720 square miles of Lane County. Our 36,000 square foot facility includes a warehouse, office, industrial kitchen, freezer and cooler space, and pickup and delivery trucks. In 2015-16, we distributed 7.8 million pounds of food.
