My name is Josh Dunbar. I am the Meat Manager at the meat department here in Dawson Springs. With nearly 15 years of meat cutting experience my main goal as your local Meat Manager is to provide each customer not only the highest level quality of meats but also the best customer service possible. Without you, the consumer, it would be impossible to maintain our level of Freshness and Quality that we strive to provide daily. For this, I thank you all for choosing our meats over the competition and I will continue doing my best to provide this town with the Freshest, Highest Quality meats for years to come.
Only I will be posting prices and specials to this page so rest assured accuracy will be correct. Pricing will be followed by an expiration/ "end" date/time so please read carefully to make sure time has not expired on deals or pricing!

There are many times I run "in store" specials that are not advertised in the Dawson Progress ad page. These specials arise for many reasons: Overstock, vendor deals, close dated items(never outdated), mispicked items etc. Because of these situations I do my best to pass the savings down to you. I would also like to take this opportunity to let everyone know all of the services we provide.

ON SITE CUTS: If you don't see what you want or like in our fresh meat counter, ring the buzzer and we will cut it fresh for you if it is in stock.(Rarely is it not)

SPECIALTY CUTS: Don't see a Ribeye that is cut thick enough in the case? Let us know and we will cut ANY steak/chop to your desired thickness on the spot.

WHOLE PRIMAL CUTTING: Buying a whole Boneless Porkloin, Ribeye, or New York Strip Loin? Let us do the work and cut it for you at NO EXTRA CHARGE! It's never a bother!

BULK QUANTITIES: Throwing a party or having a family get together? Call us at least 3 days in advance(in some cases it can be filled the day of so please call to find out!) and we can get whatever you need with bulk DISCOUNTED pricing!****(Discount requires a minimum 10 pounds to be purchased)****

COOKING INSTRUCTION AND MEAT INFO: I'm not a master chef by any means, but it's my job to know how to cook meat! Please feel free to ask me for cooking recommendations or product specifics(should I grill, fry, roast, bake, or slow cook this meat?) Or if you just need to know what in the world it is, i'm here to help you out! Besides, with the National price of meat these days it's an expensive gamble if your not sure so let me help you make the best of it!

HAM SLICING: Hams purchased IN STORE can be sliced as per your instruction free of charge.

In closing, my job isn't just to fill a meat case every day. It's to make sure that every package of meat that's bought from my department is of highest quality and to make sure you, the customer not only leaves with a smile, but has an even bigger smile after they've finished eating supper!!
