Foothill Preschools

Our Staff is made up of certified teachers, assistants and directors. In addition to the required certification and course work, ongoing professional training is provided to our staff which focuses on preschool age academics, how to implement individualized teaching techniques within a group setting, and positive behavioral approaches that are utilized in the classroom to build independence, self confidence, and much more.

The focus of the training includes preschool age academics in the areas of reading and math, individualizing teaching and learning, how to motivate little learners, positive behavioral approaches to be utilized in the classroom, building independence and self confidence, and much more.

Our kindergarten program is designed to prepare our students for their academic futures. Taught by a credentialed teacher, Foothill’s Kindergarten is enriched with same whole child approach as our preschool program.

Children will spend their day learning through hands on and academic activities individualized for optimum growth and learning. Cooking, Science, Gardening, Outings, Yoga and Music are integrated throughout the day.

The Spaulding “Writing Road to Reading” is just one of the language arts programs that enhance our kindergarten curriculum. We also utilize the Saxon Math for Kindergarten and First Grade as part of our curriculum.

Our programs allow each teacher to focus on their teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student. We believe that there is not one teaching method that is definitive. A combination of styles lends itself to the versatility we look for in our staff.

Our program is departmentalized, allowing each teacher to focus on their specialized subject. This occurs in a 1:1 teacher-student ratio, as well as in group settings.
