Footstone Photography

Paul started his professional photography career in 2003 as a portrait photographer for a studio in Gainesville, Florida. At that time, Kristin was working as a sales representative for a national printing company. Within a few years, Paul and Kristin realized their skills in their current careers could combine and create a business of their own. In February of 2008, Footstone Photography was born when Paul and Kristin took a leap of faith and opened their own photography studio.

In the beginning, Paul and Kristin photographed primarily weddings. They both have an absolute love for capturing the intimacy and beauty of a wedding. Paul and Kristin now have the honor of photographing all over the country and have been recognized by Professional Photographer's of America for their work and success.

A couple years after opening Footstone, Paul and Kristin had to limit the number of weddings they'd accept and began to build their portrait business. Now, they have developed a new love for studio portraits. Paul's understanding of the accurate use of light and composition, combined with his creative eye, makes his images powerful and compelling. He's photographed for many noteworthy businesses including Pepsi, Prioria, Nextran and others. While Paul focuses on commercial studio portraits, Kristin devotes much of her time to children and family sessions.

In 2014, Paul and Kristin announced they would be offering Destination Portrait Sessions in Northern Italy. They have since returned in 2015 offering families the opportunity to stay with them at the private castle of GraphiStudio, an album printing company. As they tour Venice and wine country, Paul just happens to be carrying a camera photographing the moments of the entire trip. These families walk away with a hand-assembled album printed by GraphiStudio.

Again in July of 2016, Paul and Kristin will head back to Italy and give more families the incredible opportunity to join them.

Coming up in January 2016, Paul and Kristin will join the Professional Photographers of America as speakers at Imaging USA. They are excited to teach on making better decisions for your business, and growing your company with specific marketing tactics and strategies. They will also share of their own personal stories of trial and error and life as full time photographers.
