More about Force Free Rescue Rehabilitators

Force Free Rescue Rehabilitators
3829 Wesley St Myrtle Beach, SC (843)903-5530
At FFRR our mission is to provide our community with an affordable training and boarding resource to be used for shelter, foster, and rescue dogs. Over the years I have seen many healthy dogs euthanized due to behavior issues. While some issues may be severe and present a danger to the public, most of these dogs with behavior issues that prevent them from being adopted can be worked with and trained to be well mannered citizens!! Force Free Rescue Rehabilitators is a non-profit organization and will depend heavily on community support for donations and volunteers.

FFRR will work hand in hand with Deb’s Doggercise to provide proper obedience and socialization training. We offer private sessions and group training classes. We also offer short term boarding for dogs that need a place to stay while waiting for transport, a foster home, foster parents are going out of town and need boarding, or until their new owners can pick them up. In addition to all of these great things Deb’s Doggercise has offered to include approved shelter/foster dogs in their Doggie Daycare program at a discounted price. Proper socialization is just as important for dogs as it is for children.

What Is Force Free Training?
Force Free (or aversives-free) training means that we do not, under any circumstances, employ pain, fear or startle to train dogs. We have no use for pain collars, shake cans, alpha rolls, intimidation, etc. Not only do we simply not have the desire to knowingly instill pain or fear in a dog, but we also don’t need to. Operant and classical conditioning, the foundation for all animal learning, give us all the tools we need to train dogs and modify their behavior – without subjugating their nature. At FFRR we use only scientific based positive reinforcement methods when working with any dog.
