More about Force One Karate

Hapkido is a Korean Martial Art that uses dynamic kicks, strikes, throws, joint locking manipulation, take downs, pressure points, and weapons. Due to the many self-defense applications, Hapkido has been taught to the Korean Police, Korean Presidential Body Guards, and the Korean Military.
Hapkido is recognized as one of the most prolific, reality based self-defense systems.

Our Hapkido lineage is tied directly to tenth degree black belt Grand Master Park Sung Jae. Grand Master Park Sung Jae was the secretary general of the first Korean Hapkido Association and one of the early pioneers of modern Hapkido. Master Lewis Hise began his Hapkido studies under Grand Master Park Sung Jae in 1969 in Korea.

Master Hise was the first American along with Master Rodney T. Hard to study under Grand Master Park in Korea. Master Hise and Master Hard were the first Americans to receive black belts in 1970 from the Korean Hapki-Sool Association founded by Grand Master Myung Jae Nam. Grand Master Park Sung Jae was the Master General of this Hapkido association.

Mr. Brett Hise began his formal Hapkido studies under his father Master Lewis Hise in 2007. Through his father, today Mr. Brett Hise continues the Hapkido lineage from Grand Master Park Sung Jae. Mr. Brett Hise is the owner and head instructor of Force One Karate in Statesboro, Georgia.
