Forsyth Mountain Education Charter High School

The Mountain Education Charter High School is a non-traditional, self-paced, mastery learning evening high school serving students ranging in age from 15 to 21, who have left the traditional day school. This scholastic institution, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), provides opportunities for those students to obtain their Georgia high school diploma.

Known as a “second chance school”, Mountain Education Charter High School is a viable alternative to seeking a GED. MECHS utilizes the talents of highly qualified teachers while providing the opportunity to respective students to accumulate the required 23 credits for graduation. In addition, the school offers tutoring, test preparation, mentoring, career planning, CTAE and foreign language.

The school’s small class size is still another positive element for those who have found the traditional high school approach unfulfilling.
