Fort Negley

Fort Negley, built by Union forces following the surrender of Nashville in 1862, protected the southern approaches to Nashville.
The Visitors Center offers films on the history of Fort Negley, the surrender of Nashville and the Battle of Nashville.
Fort Negley Park is open dawn until dusk for self guided walking tours. Guided group and school tours are available with advanced reservations.
