Fortuna St. Francis' Episcopal Church

We are a 58-year-old, active, healthy, welcoming, congregation in Fortuna, California, on the corner of 16th and L Streets. Our pastor is Lutheran -- of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The first Sunday of the month is our Service of Healing, the third Sunday of the month is the All-Ages service with food pantry donations and Build-Your-Own Sandwich lunch after the service, and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during the school year we offer Godly Play (see our website for more info!). Many community 12-step groups and the Fortuna PFLAG group use our facilities.

We share:

1. Contemporary and traditional hymns with meaningful words and good music
2. Dynamic liturgical worship ("liturgy" means "the work of the people," so we are active -- standing, kneeling, and taking part in Holy Communion each week)
3. Thoughtful preaching, always on the common texts shared by many contemporary churches, and
4. A warm welcome! We have full worship folders containing all hymns, are fully handicapped-accessible and hearing impaired-accessible, and have changing tables in our unisex bathrooms. Come visit us and stay for coffee hour so we can meet you!
