Foster Falcon Marching Band

2013 A Great Year for The Falcon Bands!
2013 brought the greatest success in the history of The Falcon Bands.

January:
Elsa Toskey earns TMEA All-State Honors (believed to be the 2nd all-state student in school history)
February:
Elsa performs with the TMEA 4A All-State Band in San Antonio
44 students qualify for UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest
April:
Concert Band awarded the Sweepstakes award by UIL (1st divisions in Marching, Concert, and Sight-Reading.
Symphonic Band awarded the Sweepstakes award by UIL and qualifies for UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival (first qualification in school history).
May:
The Symphonic Band is awarded a Distinguished Performance Award from UIL for their performance at the State Wind Ensemble Festival. Megan Simmons and Sterling Whitwell are awarded UIL State Championship Medals for their solo work at the Festival (first two ever earned in school history)
Multiple medals are awarded for performances at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest. Elsa Toskey awarded a UIL State Championship Medal for her designation as an Outstanding Soloist in the contest.
October:
Falcon marching Band ranked as top 4A band at the Lamar Invitational marching contest.
Falcon Band places 3rd in 4A and 11th overall at Austin Westlake marching festival.
Falcon's earn 1st division award at UIL Marching Contest and qualify for Area Contest.
Falcon's place 1st at UIL Area Contest and qualify for UIL State Marching Contest (only the 3rd time in Foster school and LCISD History) - 2005, 2007, and 2013
Falcon Band Performs at 2013 UIL Texas State Marching Championship at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
