Our desire at Foundation is to have a wholistic approach in ministry-both inreach and outreach. Isaiah 43:18-19 says “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” God wants to do a new thing in all of our lives! We are a place of worship and praise, outreach, education, and social service in order to give individuals alternative routes to discover the love of God through Jesus Christ.

Bishop Kenneth Monroe.

Presiding Bishop, South Atlantic Episcopal District

As a distinguished member of the Board of Bishops, Bishop Monroe overseas the South Atlantic Episcopal District; one of the twelve Episcopal Districts of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. The Board of Bishops is responsible for the general supervision of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.


Rev. Dr. W.O. Thompson

Presiding Elder, South Carolina Conference, Rock Hill District

Presiding Elder Thompson supervises the Rock Hill District of the South Carolina Conference. Foundation is one of the churches in the Rock Hill District under his care.



Rev. Sharon B. Jenkins

Pastor, Foundation AME Zion Church



In addition to her role as spiritual visionary, Pastor Jenkins serves as Co-Interim Presiding Elder of the Rock Hill District. She provides unsurpassed leadership and shepherds the flock of Jesus Christ. Her primary responsibilities are to lead, nurture and endow saints with tangible teaching that will advance the Kingdom of God.
