Founders Park

Includes an open-air amphitheater and movie screen, used for Movies at Founders series, Friday and Saturday nights, July-August. Also features photos and plaques chronicling Springfield history. The park's concrete block construction is meant to reflect the site's history as a quarry. The fountain is meant to signify the spring that was once on the site, where pioneer John Polk Campbell founded the city in 1830.
