We’re four friends who met at the most likely of unlikely places – the child care and learning center our children attended. For two decades, we collaborated with other like-minded volunteers on an annual fall auction fundraiser for that little, nationally-accredited, learning center nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, raising more than a million dollars over the years. All things must come to an end, though, and in the two years since our final fundraiser, we’ve, well, missed the hustle and bustle of “the hunt.” The hunt for quality antiques, the hunt for “diamonds in the rough” just yearning for some spit and polish, the hunt for collectibles that would bring a smile to those whose homes they’d grace. And we missed the camaraderie that was fostered at the auction houses, estate sales, flea markets, and early-morning yard sales we frequented in our quests.
And so, a concept began to take shape … one that would bring us together again, hunting for the finds we love, scratching the itch to turn “treasure” out of “trash,” funneling our talents into a business … and Four Chicks and A Truck was born.
Visit our booth, B-5, at The Country Shoppes of Culpeper to see what tickles our fancy. Fine antiques, primitives, collectibles, hand-mades. Anything these chicks like, you will, too.
Happy Hunting!
