Four Corners Framed Art

Four Corners Framed Art, is a family owned and privately operated Frame Shop and Gallery located on the Historic Liberty Square. We are centrally located to anywhere you are in Kansas City. It is not only a dream come true for Joseph Crownover, but has an interesting, beautiful, and inspiring story behind it. We hope you read on, and come to understand that when you buy or choose to frame a treasured piece of artwork from us, you are also participating in a legacy of friendship and love.

Now we'd like to take a moment to introduce you to Joseph Crownover and his friend Gregg Cuthbert. Joseph and Gregg shared a mutual respect and zeal for the time honored craft of custom framing, and had a friendship that spanned over a decade. They both held the belief that the benefits of custom framing should not be a skill only offered to artists or galleries, but to everyone.

Joseph and Gregg worked together in Durango Colorado in Gregg's gallery and framed art shop, which was the original Four Corners Framed Art. When Joseph left Colorado on other pursuits the friends kept in touch, and Joseph found himself lending his time and talents to other professions. Joseph loved his other jobs and approached them with enthusiasm and commitment but never felt he was living his calling the way he did when he was working in galleries and frame shops. When Gregg passed away in March of this year, Gregg's parents contacted Joseph asking him if he'd be interested in purchasing the contents of Gregg's frame shop and gallery, Not only did Joseph agree to this, he decided to keep the name of the original Four Corners Framed Art, to honor his friend.

So that is the story of how Four Corners Framed Art found its way to the Liberty Square. Joseph and his wife Gia, are hoping that they can share their love of art with you and pass on this legacy to their children, Tyler, Libby, and Johnny, as well as all their patrons both present and future. They have worked hard to make their Custom Frame Shop and Art Gallery come alive, and would be delighted if you help them shape and participate in the stories that come next.

Custom framing is much more than joining four pieces of wood together. It is an art form in itself. At Four Corners Framed Art our goal is to ensure that your artwork or treasured memories are safely framed so they will be enjoyed and protected for many years to come.
