We offer classes and events about Herbal Education, Enviromental Stewardship and Gardening
Located in west-central Illinois, near the Mississippi River, Four Winds Farm is an 1870’s, 5th generation family farm owned by Deborah. In the last 10 years, the homestead has evolved into an organic growing area for herbs, vegetables, fruit and flowers. It has become a center for teaching about healthy lifestyle and herbs: medicinal, culinary and wild edible.
The homestead area is dedicated to both agri-tourism and agri-education. It offers examples of ways to live in harmony with the earth, using sustainable gardening methods, alternative energy and healthy lifestyles.
Our goal is to teach a foundation of knowledge for the safe use of herbs; and to have fun doing it.
Deborah Lee has a Ph.D. in Nutrition, Masters in Environmental Education, Bachelors in Psychology and is a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
She is recent past President of Illinois Herb Association, President of Muddy River Herb Guild, member of International Herb Association, Board Member of Illinois Specialty Growers Associations (part of the Illinois Farm Bureau); and a 10 year University of Illinois Master Gardener.
Year-round classes and events focused on herbs: culinary, medicinal and wild-edible.
