Francis Marion High School, named in honor of the Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion, is a compressive public school (located in Marion, AL) which serves grades 7-12
The senior high school's academic program is organized on a block schedule, while the junior high school's is organized on a seven-period schedule. Hence, the duration of each senior-high class is ninety-eight minutes, and each junior-high class is forty-five minutes long.
We offer dual enrollment, nursing courses, ACCESS Distance Learning and AP courses, which we just received last year.
We also have Area Vocational and College Programs (AVCP), allowing juniors and seniors to enroll in freshman courses and earn college credits at local institutions of higher education.
