Frank R. Loyd Elementary School is located on the Ft. Benning Army Installation at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Students who are enrolled at Loyd Elementary School are dependents of military personnel at Fort Benning, and the school is funded by the Department of Defense. Loyd ES is one of 10 schools in the Georgia/Alabama District of the Department of Defense Domestic Dependents' Elementary and Secondary Schools (DoD DDESS). The Georgia/Alabama District is under the direction of Dr. Christy Cabezas, Superintendent, and follows the directives, curricula, and guidelines of the umbrella organization of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). It is one of 7 schools located at Fort Benning and serves students in Pre-Kindergarten - 5th grade
