Frankenlust Township Fire Department was started in 1976. Originally the department stored the Fire Apparatus in Mr. Leinbergers barn until the current station and township hall was built. Over the years the department has grown from a department with just a 2 seat fire engine and a converted milk tanker to a fully modern department. Currently the Frankenlust Township Fire Department has a 2010 Rosenbauer Rescue Pumper, 2001 Darley Engine, 2000 Ford Brush Truck, and a 2012 Ford Rescue Truck. The Department is fully modernized with foam capability on 3 vehicles, 2 sets of Jaws of Life, as well as the most up to date equipment possible. We are currently staffed with 17 firefighters with several members EMT trained and also several with Paramedic certification.
The services we provide are: fire suppression, fire prevention, emergency medical (First Responder), and Hazardous Material Response (Operations). The community we protect has a population of approximately 2200 people and is 24 square miles.
Frankenlust Township is located in the heart of the tri-cities, between Midland, Bay City, and Saginaw.
The Frankenlust Fire Department is looking for Paid-On-Call Firefighters, no experience necessary. If you're looking for an exciting way to help your community and earn a little money on the side, come in or give us a call!
