The Franklin-Essex-Hamilton Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES) was founded in 1948 as one of the first three BOCES created in New York state. We serve the students of ten component school districts: Brushton-Moira, Chateaugay, Lake Placid, Long Lake, Malone, Raquette Lake, St. Regis Falls, Salmon River, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake—a service area of almost 2500 square miles!
Our two buildings are the North Franklin Educational Center in Malone, and the Adirondack Educational Center in Saranac Lake.
Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) curricula offers high school students eight programs in technology, construction, and human services. Alternative educational programs support students with significant special needs in attaining a high school or equivalency diploma. The New Visions program offers students the ability to explore fields in medicine, government, law, and technology. FEH BOCES also offers adult and continuing education programs to the public.
