The Franklin High Robotics team was created in the Fall of 2014 by 8 sophomores and juniors at Franklin High School, who were also part of the robotics course available there. They meet after school to design, build, and program robots that will go to competitions. In 2014, they attended Savage Soccer, a competition at WPI. There, they were the 5th seeded team of 47, and were the captains of the alliance that ended in 7th of 8 in elimination rounds.
This year, the team has grown in size, actually making it possible to have two separate teams. Due to the amount of new students added, the team showed a similar performance at the Savage Soccer of 2015. Now, they have their sights set on the Vex Robotics Competition, which is higher level and requires more preparation.
