Training is contingent on program eligibility requirements and funding limitations. Examples of Training services include adult education and literacy, occupational skills training, and job readiness training.
Individuals who are interested in receiving intensive or training services must enroll in the Adult or Dislocated Worker Program. The Adult and Dislocated Worker programs are designed to provide quality employment and training services to assist eligible individuals in finding and qualifying for meaningful employment, and to help employers find the skilled workers they need to compete and succeed in business.
Dislocated Workers are eligible workers who have been laid off or terminated through no fault of their own or have received an official layoff notice.
Adults are defined as job seekers, 18 or older who are unemployed or underemployed. In certain areas, where funding is limited, priority of service is given to recipients of public assistance and individuals who are low-income.
