Fresh Connect Food Hub is a farm-to-institution model of regionally-produced foods.Fresh Connect Food Hub works with regional growers to provide fresh, local, nutrient dense foods to institutions such as schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, child care facilities and colleges. Fresh Connect aggregates locally grown produce to the food hub location, and packages according to orders placed by institutions.

Fresh Connect Food Hub began its planning in January of 2014 and deliveries began in September with 11 school districts and 9 growers participating in the pilot year. By the end of the 12 week pilot season, we had 12 school districts with 23 schools buildings, 1 hospital, 1 child care and 1 nursing home.
