Friends of Great Kids Farm

Great Kids Farm is a 33-acre working educational farm owned and operated by Baltimore City Public Schools. The Farm offers engaging educational and career training programs that nurture positive relationships with fruits and vegetables, provide skills that empower students to lead healthy lives, and inspire a love of learning and the environment.

The Farm is a unique asset within the school system. The district needs the support of a diverse community of stakeholders, funders, and advocates to ensure all City Schools students can benefit from this amazing resource. Friends of Great Kids Farm was formed as a partner to the school system to support this unprecedented project.

A deer fence, work trucks, field trip transportation funds, tractor repair, honey bee colonies...the unique needs of a working educational farm exceed what City Schools can fund on its own. Since its inception in 2011, Friends has raised funds for critical assets to the Farm's growth, ensuring all of Baltimore's students have access to this amazing resource.
