The Ha'ikū Stairs (or Stairway to Heaven, as it is popularly known) is a metal staircase climbing up the Koʻolau ridge to the 2820-foot summit of Puʻu Keaheakahoe in Windward Oahu. The Friends of Haʻikū Stairs (FHS) is a group of volunteers whose mission is to protect the historic Haʻikū Stairs and its environment for current and future generations. FHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that was formed in 1987.
