Friends Of Northampton

The Friends of Northampton is a nonprofit citizen watchdog group dedicated to the preservation/protection of the lands and wildlife within Northampton Park, Monroe County, Western NY. We consider the balance between the Park's natural habitat and recreational amenities (hiking trails, athletic fields, picnic areas, playgrounds) to be one of the community’s greatest assets.

We will resist all incursions that would significantly alter the Park and endanger the native flora and fauna. We will defend the Park, its native wildlife, and natural resources against any development efforts aimed at conversion of existing natural public recreation space into a revenue-generating business enterprise. If necessary, we will take legal action against such proposals.
