Throughout his public life Raila Odinga has distinguished himself as a champion of positive change in Kenya. He has been synonymous with the second and now third liberation of Kenya from misrule, the suffocation of fundamental rights and freedoms of Kenyans and the resultant impoverishment and economic marginalization of the many to the benefit of the privileged few. Raila Odinga has consistently championed a just, free, fair and progressive society. His journey has been difficult and sometimes painful. Corruption networks and merchants of impunity have often placed thorns, landmines and roadblocks along his path but, scarred and determined, he has come through with the aspirations of the majority of Kenyans who now see light at the end of the tunnel.
