Friends of Rochambeau Community Library

Friends of Rochambeau Library (FORL) is a group of caring individuals, families, and businesses dedicated to the support of the Rochambeau Branch Community Library, its facility, programs, services, resources, and the many people it serves.

The Friends fund equipment, events, programs, and services that the Rochambeau Library could not otherwise afford without our assistance. The Friends have purchased the entire books-on-tape collection for children, and pay for museum free passes (for loan to Library patrons), and subscriptions to the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and other periodicals of special interest to our Library community.

The Friends sponsor children’s holiday and summer programs, and run semi-annual book sales, as well as a Book Sale Cart near the Circulation Desk. We also conduct an ongoing online sale of special editions and other rare books. Please see our website for more info.

You can become a Friend, too!

As a Friend of Rochambeau, you help support a vibrant community asset — a staff and branch dedicated to our neighborhood. You will receive the newsletter, invitations to special events, and have the opportunity to serve the Branch in numerous special ways. Needless to say, the greatest benefit of being a Friend is knowing that you are actively helping the Library that you use and love!

New members may join at any time. Email us or ask at one of our Semi-Annual Book Sales. Your annual renewal will be due at the same time next year. Your gift is tax-deductible as FORL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
