Friends of the Brockville Library

Friends of Brockville Public Library is currently recruiting community members interested in lending time and expertise to an executive steering committee.

The ‘Friends of the Library’ is a non-profit, voluntary and charitable association dedicated to the enhancement of library services. This group supports services provided by the library through donating time and effort to sponsor special events and much needed resources.
As well ‘Friends of the Library’ will promote literacy and cultural enhancement in the greater community.

This committee will operate independently of the Brockville Public Library Board of Trustees and has no governing function.

A member of the executive will:

Lay the foundation for a non-profit, charitable organization
Support the library and literacy in the community
Establish a Friends of the Library governance, policies and procedures
Share talent and skill
Attend meetings during the year
Assist with events throughout the year
Market and publicize the merits of being Friends of Brockville Public Library
