In 1835 Friendship United Methodist Church was a log building nestled on a knoll in the center of Friendship Cemetery. The church then erected a new building just south of the entrance to the cemetery. The church was destroyed by fire however the pews, lectern and other items were saved. In 1934 the new church structure was finished and the scars of the burning embers can still be seen on our pews yet today. The dedication of the new annex and the 175th anniversary of our church was celebrated on September 19, 2010. We welcome one and all to our services. Please join us and consider making us your church home.
