After working for NY State government in Albany and assisting the passage of the farm-winery bill in 1976, we decided to embark on an adventure - owning a winery.
So we purchased land, planted vines and were bonded NY Farm Winery #44 in 1982 - one of the first farm wineries in the Finger Lakes region.
Committed to the notion that change is good and just because there is a traditional way of making wine doesn't make it the only way - we enjoy challenging the status with Vinifera and old-world hybrid blends. We cultivate 11 different varieties on our estate including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chambourcin, Seyval Blanc, Vignoles, Marechal Foch. Our son carried this tradition into the next generation.
