DISCLAIMER

'Funky Faces by Steph' uses good quality face paints that are FDA and EC approved. We only use cosmetic grade, safe glitters . The face paints are water based and easy to remove with just water, sometimes mild soap may be needed.
My face paints are specifically designed for face painting and the brands I use mostly are Snazaroo, TAG and Diamond FX and a few others.

I practice good hygiene and sanitize my sponges and brushes with sanitizer/disinfectant after each person, also my brushes are rinsed thoroughly in clean water which is changed frequently .
All equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each event and sponges are washed in 95 F water.

I am not liable for any allergic reaction to the paints and cosmetics used. Service is provided at client's own discretion and if client is a minor, at parents/ guardians discretion.

If the person to be painted has allergies or sensitive skin, please discuss with me before being painted. I can offer a design on an arm instead.

No eating or drinking during time of painting please.

Faces need to be CLEAN and DRY. Please wipe noses and mouths before being seated for painting. Paint will not adhere to sweaty faces.

LIMITATIONS AND RESERVATIONS
I cannot paint anyone who is sick , ill or with a visible skin condition or disease such as Chicken pox, Conjunctivitis, Cuts, Colds sores, Eczema, Open wounds, Measles, Mumps or Head lice. (I will not paint if there is obvious risk of cross infection or contamination with others) In some cases to my discretion, a cheek, arm, wrist or ankle may be painted instead.

I reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone I feel is unsuitable, or with what I consider offensive symbols or subjects.

I will NOT paint anyone who is abusive, violent or intoxicated.

I do NOT paint anyone that does not want to be painted, however young they are. Or if a child decides half way through they don’t want to be painted then I will stop.

I will NOT paint anyone who clearly cannot keep still enough for me to paint. To my discretion I can offer to paint a small design on the arm or a basic, simple sponge design on the face.

PARENTAL PERMISSION AND RESPONSIBILITY
I do NOT paint children without permission.
Please do NOT leave your children unattended. Children’s behavior and safety is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Please don’t let children touch the worktable, paints and equipment. I will not be liable for any damage or injuries should they occur.

For public events, please be present and provide verbal consent. Do not leave children unattended in line, as I can not be responsible for anyone in line.

For private parties, I will assume that parental consent has been obtained for all the children unless stated otherwise by the host of the party.

PHOTOGRAPHY
I will sometimes take photos of painted children ,but only with parent/guardian permission.
My photographs will only be used for publicity and copies can viewed and downloaded off our Facebook Page " Funky Faces by Steph".

If you take a photo and upload it to Facebook or Instagram , feel free to hashtag #funkyfacesbysteph .

Please do not upload pictures of other children without parents consent.

CARE AND REMOVAL
I will take reasonable care but am not responsible for damage to clothing or accessories.
If contact with face paint does occur, the item should be cold soaked overnight in washing detergent before washing normally.

Removal of paint can be done by using water, mild soap and a clean washcloth.
Baby shampoo is excellent for removing paints from the face.
It is not recommended that baby wipes are used as some contain frangrance and this may cause the skin to become irritated.

Some colors may temporarily stain the skin. In the case of temporary irritation, the use of olive oil, coconut oil or mild lotion can help.
