G-12 Farms -- Our facility consists of one 36 x 42 barn with four large stalls, 15’ center aisle, 4 separate pastures and turnout areas ranging in size from .75 acres to 7 acres. All pastures and turnout areas have some trees for shade and shelter. Areas for riding include hills, terraces, a meadow, several natural ditches, flat enclosed areas and a 60’ round pen. If you're comfortable riding along a road, you can ride a short distance to various trails which are not owned by us but are commonly used by hikers, riders, etc.
Care and Attention -- All horses are handled daily and checked for general wellness and injuries at each feeding along with one last check at bedtime. Owners will meet your farrier or include your horse in our regularly scheduled farrier calls. We will include your horse in our annual farm call from our vet for vaccinations, dental checks, etc. Vet and farrier charges will be your responsibility. Owners are available, at additional rates, to assist with special needs such as basic wound care, hand walking, hoof care and treatment, etc.
Stall Rest -- Should your horse be confined to stall rest for any reason, those needs (mucking, bedding, hay, feed, water, hand walking, hand grazing, basic wound care, general pampering along with full reports to you daily) will be completely accommodated for a special rate.
Blanketing policy: We blanket horses if temps drop below 36 degrees for an extended length of time overnight. Blankets are removed EACH morning unless temperatures are not expected to rise above 32 degrees that day.
Safety helmets are required when mounted for both youth and adults.
