G & S Soul Food Restaurant Tuskegee

Great Food. Come in and sit down. Located on Hwy 80 across from Shell. G & S Restaurant Home Style Cooking opened in August 18, 1975, family owned and operated. Founded by Mrs. Carrie L. Peoples. The business was started with only a thousand dollars. There was three tables, twelve chairs, a counter, a long coke cola cooler, one sink with three compartments, one hand sink, a freezer, heat lamp, stove, deep fryer and one restroom

We moved to our present location August, 1985 after needing space due to having so many customers. Our new location was five times larger. We have had the pleasure of serving not only Tuskegee and surrounding areas but a larger number of Tuskegee University students as well.

Today G & S Restaurant continues to serve great Southern Cuisine that taste like Grandma or Momma cooked it.
