G18 The Holy Nation

Okay, I am sure you are already wondering what does the name G-18 means. In Genesis 18, Abraham and the Lord are speaking with each other. Abraham asks the Lord, when you destroy evil people are you going to destroy those that are good? Wouldn’t you spare Sodom if there were 50 good people in it? The lord replied, if I find 50 good people in Sodom I would save the city from being destroyed. Then, Abraham said, Lord, sorry to ask again, but what about if there were 30 good people in Sodom, would you spare it? The Lord then replied, yes I would spare Sodom for 30 people. This questioning of Abraham's went on until they got down to ten people. The Lord was going to destroy the city the next day because there were not 10 good people in Sodom.

As we are a generation of many struggles, this story out of Genesis 18 can change our world as we know it. If we can connect with Christ in such a way through fellowship, prayer, and worship, He will change our cities, even if there are only a few of us. The lord will show mercy on the places that we live because He is with us there. He will renew the minds of friends, family, and neighbors to carry on the next day and live for Christ. This generation of believers is in anticipation of the breakthrough, power, and exciting things the Lord has in store for us. Being excited doesn’t change how we live. We need to live daily for Christ and decide that we are going to press in and be the FEW people in our towns that stand firm in the Lord; the Lord will then bless and honor us and we will see change. Lets be the generation of people who stand firm in the Lord and allow light into our cities.
