Gallery 314

We at Gallery 314 aim to provide a unique space for artists of varying levels of professional experience to exhibit work, to create work and to meet other people who care about art.

Gallery 314 and its staff want to offer emerging artists a chance to expand their resumes with small group shows while offering more seasoned artists a venue to exhibit solo shows. Most importantly, we have a deep desire to foster a setting for artists from various disciplines to propose more experimental endeavors that transcend the anticipated conventions in a commercial gallery in a college town. In addition to traditional media, we are interested in exhibiting performance art, installation, and other contemporary art forms.

While Gallery 314 is a very new exhibition space, we are committed to providing shows of artwork that demonstrate technical proficiency, a mature consideration of content and professional presentation. As such, all work submitted for consideration by our review committee will be juried based on these criteria to ensure the highest caliber of exhibition. This selective process will also help Gallery 314 to build and maintain a positive reputation in both local and regional art societies.

In addition to regular exhibitions and openings, we would like to invest in the local arts community by facilitating art-making events as well as small seminars or question and answer sessions provided by professional art makers to help broaden the horizons of artists who wish to grow in their trade and who would like to learn how to better succeed in their field.

We welcome artists, collectors, and art appreciators of all levels to join us on this new venture as we create art, exhibit work and forge the relationships to build an arts-centric community in our town.
