Garden of the Gods Park

Garden of the Gods is a city park established in 1909 and was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972. The Garden of the Gods receives over two million visitors a year. It is recognized worldwide as a majestic landmark and cultural crossroads of the American West. The Park also reveals one of the most extensive and impressive displays of Earth’s geologic history found in North America. The Park covers over 1,300 acres of natural terrain, hosting plants and animals from six distinct ecosystems, and contains 20 miles of paved and dirt trails that help people connect with and view nature in countless ways. While possible activities are endless, some of the more popular include; wildlife viewing, hiking, bicycling, rock climbing, jogging, and photography.
