Gasbol Food Pantry

GASBOL Food Pantry started in the Oak Park Community of Sacramento on June 10, 2010. Since its conception, we have become a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation and this bimonthly program has received at least 15 dedicated volunteers who have given their heart and time to serve the community. With their help we have served over 9,000 people and distributed more than 2600 bags of groceries. GASBOL has not only given away groceries, but has also provided 140 to 200 sack lunches each year to people in the downtown Sacramento area. It brings us great joy when our clients can say things like, "Man you know this lunch was made with lots of LOVE." My son and I have also participated in the "Run for the Hungry", which raises money to help out with our Sacramento Emergency Food bank. Most of the food products we receive for our services come from Sacramento Emergency Food Bank, as well as monthly donations. GASBOL has also supplied backpacks containing school supplies to various schools. Saint Matthew Christian Church is a "Sister Sponsor" to GASBOL.
