The Geasa-Marana Library opened on March 2, 1977 to serve the newly-incorporated community of Marana, Arizona.

In February 2005, the Geasa-Marana Branch was named to honor Marlyn Mae Geasa, the Circulation Manager and Library Associate at the library from 1980 until her death in 2003. She presented countless storytimes and library programs to generations of children and recommended good books to read and community information to countless adults.
