Lesley and I are homesteaders, or trying to be, here in Montana. We live in a rural area outside of Laurel MT. Most people don’t realize that homesteading isn't just living in the country. It’s a life style of self-sufficient and independence from the short term thinking of the modern world. Most people live the fast food, get it now life style, where we believe in enjoying life and the fruits of our labor and planning for the long term. Being over 20 plus miles away from the largest Town in Montana convince is not an option, especially in the winter! We are going to try to use this site to help others learn from our mistakes and share the things we have learned along the way. Homesteading is a roller coaster ride, there are ups and there are downs, laughter and tears. We will try to guide you by telling stories, giving tips and some reviews as well as having products that may assist you in homesteading life.
