ABOUT US

Our mission is to do our part in advancing the health and well being of our next generation by increasing their chances of becoming successful adults. We believe that by working together as concerned citizens, we can give our young people the tools they need to accomplish any goal or task they decide. We believe that by exposing them to caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, an effective education, and an opportunity to help others, their chances of success will be increased.

By providing these 5-promises, we also support three other programs: The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom School Program, Connect a Million Minds (CAMM) Program, and the National Math + Science Initiative. Under our effective education promise, we take on the problem of drop-outs, help children increase their reading skills, self-esteem, and generate a more positive attitude toward learning. We assist, when possible, with the Juvenile Justice System and to help youth understand what causes the Cradle to Prison Pipeline. We realize that not all children are at risk and so we try to encourage kids through activities that increase science, technology, engineering and math skills so that they may be more successful in our global economy. It’s not all about work; we enjoy a lot of fun activities, such as swimming, skating, archery, sports, bowling, drama, paintball, movies, field trips and giving back to the community.
