At Georgia Pelvic PT we provide one on one physical therapy services through specialized evaluation and treatment of the pelvis including the bony and ligamentous structures, the more superficial layers of the perineum, and the deep layers of the pelvic floor. This focused evaluation of the pelvis is then assimilated with our broader musculoskeletal assessment to ensure treatment of the whole patient. We will individualize your treatment program based on our findings at the initial evaluation and throughout the treatment process. Our treatment techniques include, but are not limited to, manual (hands on) techniques, muscular re-education, exercise instruction, and postural training. All treatments are gentle and patient guided to insure your comfort and promote healing and restoration of function.

This type of physical therapy care is unique in that you will spend your entire treatment time with a licensed therapist, specially trained in the care of the pelvis. It's no secret that pelvic dysfunction can be a sensitive, and often avoided, topic even in the health care world! These issues can lead to chronic pain, depression, withdrawal from and poor quality of life. While surgical procedures and medication are often a necessary component of treatment, pelvic physical therapy can offer reduction, and often resolution of these issues with a more holistic approach.
