Guten Alten Deutschen Spass!”">The Spassfest owes its roots to the great festivals of Germany. These festivals of Munich and Hamburg provided the inspiration for the founders of the Spassfest, who in 1968 wanted to celebrate the dedication of a new park and a new Village hall. What was to be a one-time event has gone on to provide 49 years of fun. Through the years things have come and gone, but one thing remains, the Spassfest – whose very name literally means “fun festival”, continues to be
a weekend of fun for all.
