Ghost Town Trail / Ellerslie MTB Trail

Ghost town trail is a moderate to strenuous p's and q's mtb trail measuring 8.4 miles. Not a race trail. Rock gardens, creek crossings and other features. From Rocky Ridge to Hell Hill (1/2 mile 200 ft ascent) to Grist Mill Trail and 194 Run, you will not be bored. Located in Old Salem, Alabama off hwy 280w/431n on Lee Rd 194.To schedule a ride or for more info contact us using the message board or just post. From hwy 280/431 turn south on Lee Rd 175 then left on Lee Rd 194 (about 1/4 mile past the antique store) then about 2 3/4 mi on right at white/orange gate. TRAIL IS OPEN FEB 11 - OCT 31. CLOSED FOR HUNTING SEASON. Ellerslie MTB Trail is a 9.4 mile pedal and roll trail that is fast and flowy. Lots of rolling terrain with plenty of dips and rollers and moderate to strenuous climbs. From Tom's Trail to Creekside, from Five Mile Hill and The Grinder to Getusum Hill, it's a fun trail to ride. Geared bikes are a plus. Take Alt 27 (Manchester Expressway) to Ellerslie and turn right on Ga 315 (east) approximately 4 miles and turn right on Meadstone Dr. Continue approximately 2 miles (at fork take left and around right curve at hunting camp) then second jeep road on left.
