GHB is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to the retention of Gig Harbor’s working waterfront landscape.

The historic Eddon Boatyard is a classic example of a northwest family boatyard. Most small northwest waterfront communities had similar structures operated in a similar way. There are few remaining today.

Today Gig Harbor BoatShop offers boat repair and restoration services for appropriate vessels and has offered the community multiple maritime skills workshops including: Oar making, The Shipwrights Toolbox, Basic Navigation, and recently, Boatbuilder for a Day.
