Glacial Lake Cranberries

Some call where cranberries grow a bog, but here on the northern shore of what used to be old Glacial Lake Wisconsin, we call the cranberry production acres marshes. The cranberry marsh system, which consists of cranberry beds, supporting reservoirs, and uplands, is a diverse wildlife habit that compliments a commercial sustainable cranberry operation.

The last part of September and through at least the third week of October is harvest time and the most popular time to tour the cranberry marsh. Starting with harvest 2017, Glacial Lake Cranberries will not be offering regular scheduled tours. To those who book a stay at The Stone Cottage, a cranberry marsh tour is included.
