In the 1930’s, Ralph Egelston started the family’s registered Jersey dairy cattle herd with a modest 30 cows. In the 1970’s the family more than doubled their herd size to 70 milk cows. Then in 2009 the Egelstons again underwent a major transformation as they converted their traditional tie-stall operation to a free-stall and parlor set-up. We are currently in the midst of our latest additions - two barns which will be used for young stock and dry cows. Today the farm milks 265 Jersey cows and manages 250 young heifers and calves.
