CHURCH HISTORY

In 2002 while serving as Youth Pastor for seven years at Bread of Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastors Simmie & Bessie Richard, the Lord began to speak to Pastor Thomas Smith about starting a church. After he shared with his wife Joyce all the things the Lord had spoken to him, they began to pray together about starting a church.


*In 2003 while at a BOLD conference in Pomona CA., under the leadership of the late Bishop James O'Neal, Pastor Thomas and 1st Lady Joyce received a confirmation from the Lord that they were to be released to pastor a church. They then began to share with their own pastor the things that the Lord had spoken to them.

*In September of 2004 Pastor Simmie ordained Pastor Thomas as an Elder in the Body of Christ and in September of 2005 Glorifying Christ Ministries held its first worship service at 871 N. Nellis.

*Glorifying Christ Ministries is yet growing with services now currently being held at 1571 N. Decatur.
