More about God's Bible School and College

Founded in the heart of Mount Auburn in 1900, God's Bible School and College (GBSC) is one of the oldest Bible colleges in the United States. The college offers 13 majors through four academic divisions: Education and Professional Studies, Intercultural Studies and World Missions, Ministerial Education and Music.

The Aldersgate Christian Academy (ACA) was started by GBSC in 1922 and was recently rated one of the "Top Academies in the City" by Cincinnati Magazine. ACA students regularly score in the top 30% of nationwide testing, with 85% of graduates attending college. Over 50% of all ACA students come from low-income households.

For over a century GBSC has educated leaders for various Christian denominations. Former faculty and alumni include Oswald Chambers, author of My Utmost for His Highest and L.B. Cowman, author of Streams in the Desert. GBSC has long emphasized the importance of serving others and from 1901 until 1961 organized and provided free Thanksgiving Day dinners for thousands of needy children in Cincinnati.

God's Bible School and College is authorized by the Department of Education of the State of Ohio to award associate and baccalaureate degrees and is regionally accredited with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities (GCCCU).
