Get ready to turn back time to the 1850s! Free to the public and a wildly favorite Sacramento heritage celebration, Gold Rush Days 2015 returns to Old Sacramento over Labor Day weekend running Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7.
The annual heritage celebration is produced by the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau with support from the City of Sacramento, Sacramento History Museum, Old Sacramento Business Association and California State Parks and sponsored by Save Mart Supermarkets!
The unique four-day event features a wide variety of crowd-favorite entertainment, all free to experience and enjoy. Guests to Old Sacramento will be entertained by talented musicians performing live on several stages, Old West theatrics and family-friendly melodramas, history re-enactments, horse-drawn carriages, cowboys on horseback, ladies riding sidesaddle, wagon rides, gold panning, Artisan Alley, hands-on children’s arts and crafts activities, the popular Tent City depicting daily life during the Gold Rush, and much more.
